You can now track information related to your students with our new School Notes feature. Notes allow you to:
- Document your meetings and interactions with students.
- Create public notes, or make them private to record sensitive information.
- Send notes via email to students, teachers, or parents.
Notes will live alongside the Student Profile summary page in a separate dedicated tab. You can add notes to be associated with a given student, which will be visible to other advisors, or you can mark them as private, which means only you will be able to see them.
To access and take notes, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to the Students tab.
Step 2: Click on the name of the relevant student. This will take you to the Student Profile summary page.
Step 3: Click on the Notes tab at the top of the page to view this students notes.
Within the Notes tab, you will see any notes you have added for a given student previously, as well as whether you have marked them public or private and you will be able to email, edit, or delete your notes. Additionally, you can view any public notes added by other advisors in your school.
To log a note, click +Add Note towards the top right, give your note a title and add your content.
If the note contains information that should only be seen by you, check the Private Note box. Otherwise, the note will be visible to other advisors. Note: you can always update the privacy settings, as needed.
For any previously recorded notes, you also have the ability to share them out to others via email, including teachers, students, or parents. To email notes, click the email icon to the right of the note, enter the relevant email address(es) and click Send Email.
